One simple block with
SO MANY color options!
I made this block this week and found out
It’s a disappearing hourglass.
(I had used an OLD quilt block as my inspiration)
But...
I didn’t make an hourglass...
And I didn’t make it disappear!
If I had used that method I would not have been able to make it quite so
SCRAPPY!!
I used squares and strips to make this pretty block.
I DO love scrappy quilts.
But... I love the simple 2 color quilts as well!
and...
Who can resist plaid??
all very pretty!
ReplyDeleteImpact!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is a cool block. I like it all the ways you made it.
ReplyDeleteBoth versions look good! That's a lot of stitching for just one week!
ReplyDeleteThat's a fun block in both variations.
ReplyDeleteI just watched some of your videos and they are so well done! I love your style, and not once fast forwarded like I do on most tutorials!! Loving the solid circles improv... it made me want to immediately stop and make something like it! LeeAnna
ReplyDeleteSo hard to choose but those are all lovely. I need to see how to do a disappearing hourglass.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking the two color blocks are my favorite.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt...I like the scrappy one.
Have a great day!
Such a wonderful block to work with . It is always so interesting to see a block in different colorways and in a quilt setting. Have a wonderful week and thank you for hosting the link party.
ReplyDeleteLove to see how choice of fabrics changes the overall look of a quilt block. Thanks as always for hosting!
ReplyDeleteI like the plaid. It proves it would make a great memory quilt from a man's shirts.
ReplyDeleteJust one block can be stunning in a variety of colors!!
