This week I added my alternate block to my Christmas quilt.
It is a simple uneven 9 patch.
I really like the green plaid from my computer design.
Too bad I don’t have that pretty green plaid in my stash!
LOL!
I have so much fabric......
It’s tempting to go looking for the fabric in my dreams at the store....
And not use the fabric in my stash!!!
If you’d like to sew along with me..
I will be posting one video each week
And adding a pattern to the sidebar as we go along.
Happy sewing!
What are YOU making this week???
Oh how much fun and such a cute block too. I hope to get in the quilt room soon and join in on the fun. Happy quilting
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be a lovely sampler. Shopping the stash can be challenging sometimes, but it does force you to be creative.
ReplyDeleteWe all get tempted to shop for more fabric, but it can also be very satisfying to use what we have in our stash.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute block! Sometimes it’s really hard to just shop the stash! Your sampler looks like a fun project. I just might have to add it to my to do list.
ReplyDeleteWonderful layout for your Christmas quilt and the uneven 9 patch is the perfect complement. I really like the fabrics you chose from your stash for the 9patch - no need to buy anything else!
ReplyDeleteToo often, in the past, I would purchase fabrics that turned out all medium tones. Recently I've been doing my best to make sure I get good contrast, so more darker and then a variety of light neutrals.
