I played with strings this week.
Don't you LOVE string quilts?
They are definitely one of my favorite kinds of quilts.
This nine patch of strings was made using 6" squares
and 6" half square triangles I made using a foundation.
Sometimes I use a foundation and sometimes I don't.
My old phone book contains the perfect foundation paper.
I hope it never runs out!
LOL
Here's a small section of a quilt top that is still waiting to be quilted.
Someday........
What are YOU making this week??
Yep -- phone books are great. I made a point of saving a couple we got as they were being phased out. I wish they were the bigger ones but they work great for strings. I keep thinking I want to do another string quilt but haven't committed yet. Yours is interesting. Much more involved then what I might do.
ReplyDeleteLove your strippy nine patch variation block. They are so cheerful. I sometimes use a foundation and sometimes I do not. Phone book pages are a great idea. Have a wonderful week, Beth.
