Monday Making

Are you at home?
With LOTS of fabric to keep you busy?
With NO WHERE to go?
With tons of TIME?

Me too.

After making lots of blocks for my quarantine quilt...

I hit a snag.
I can't figure out how big to make it.
I can't figure out if I add another block around with alternate color...
I'm stuck.

So
Instead of dwelling on THAT, I pulled out my son's wedding quilt.
(the first photo)
It needed more blocks and MAN are they time consuming!
And FUSSY.
(nothing like my quarantine quilt) 😊
This is the PERFECT TIME to work on a fussy,
time consuming quilt!!!

I'm almost there!
Hooray!

What are YOU making??

  1. Both quilts are wonderfully scrappy, Beth! (When is the wedding?)

  2. You are making great progress. Yes, a fussy quilt will take up some excess time these days. Would you consider doing a different background color around the outside of your quarantine quilt? May be a cream, white or beige with more of the quarter square triangle blocks. Have fun deciding.

  4. I really like your Son's wedding quilt. It will be worth all the fuss. I'm working from home so not as much time for stitching as others, but I'm lucky to be able to work from home.

  7. I've found that since staying confined at home I've done way less quilting than in normal times! It's strange having that uneasy feeling 24/7. Maybe I'll find my groove again. I certainly have plenty of fabric to keep me busy!

  12. The wedding quilt blocks remind me of the floor tiles I've seen in Medieval cathedrals - Winchester and others here in the UK.
