Monday Making

It's been a week.
Getting a gift of little tiny scraps was definitely one of the HIGHLIGHTs.
Just laying them out on the table during
"coffee break" time made me happy.
:)
I also bound one of the LAST of my table mat quilts.
There's a little you tube how-to if you're interested.

There was time to play in the rain!....
and Sew some PILLOWCASE dresses for Lori at humble quilts.

There was also time to harvest all the broccoli.
:)
It is now blanched and frozen.
Hooray for GARDEN produce!!!

Since many of us will be home more in the coming weeks...
I bet you'll see a LOT more "HOMEMADE" in blogland.

Time at home = time to MAKE!
Link up and share what YOU are making.

  1. Are those '40s fabrics too? How cool! I'm impressed with your broccoli; I have started it several times but seldom get more than a few cuts before the bugs get too bad.

  2. You've been very productive the last week. I'm ready for the rain to stop, it's been so dreary and cold. Happy stitching this week.

  3. Some people are going to have a hard time with social distancing. Thankfully we have our sewing and plenty of fabric on hand. I could easily spend the year quilting and still have fabric!

  4. Hmm, that's an idea. Sending small scraps to someone who could make use of them.

  5. I think we makers will have an easier time of staying at home and keeping our distance from others because we have something we love doing at home. Looking forward to seeing more of what everyone is making.

  8. Wait, rain in California? (I think you live in CA.) We've had dreary weather the last few days. And, it really hasn't gotten cold enough to kill off the bugs this winter. Hum, maybe that's why I found a stink bug facing me down in my bathroom. YUCK. I'm looking forward to enforced sewing time. I hope to knock a few UFOs to finished category.
