The nine patches are all ready to go on the newest
table mat!
Little tiny pieces of fabric
are so nice to play with!
My little squares are 2".
I just need to add some sashing
(what color?)
and then maybe ONE more border until it's
JUST the right size!
What IS just the right size??
There is no magic number.
I let the little quilts tell me as we go.
:)
What are YOU making this week??
Such a cute little project! Haw about a pale lime green for sashing?
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of lime green although peach might work too. Have fun deciding.
ReplyDeleteHow fun! Such cute little nine-patch units :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your little 9-patches, Beth! For the sashing, I think I'd either do black or a very dark charcoal. Better yet, I'd do a black fabric with white text, something like Alison Glass's Sun Print Path text print in Storm Gray: https://www.missouriquiltco.com/shop/detail/106443/andover-fabric/alison-glass/sun-print-2019-path-storm-yardage. Zoom in on the text; I think the words complement the mood of your 9-patch fabrics; very dreamy and sweet. It comes in a sunny yellow that would look nice with your blocks, too: https://www.caryquilting.com/products/sun-print-2019-fabric-by-alison-glass-path-text-in-happy-yellow-a-9035-y.
ReplyDeleteLovely little blocks. They can't be too small, for me at least.
ReplyDeleteOoh, love those sweet little red centers!:)
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be lovely . . . I really like nine patch :)
