Just because giveaway

When this magazine came out a month or so ago....
Life was giving me some BIG events.

Now that I've been able to catch my breath...
I'd like to give a couple of magazines away!

I have a block that was included in this issue.
Can I share it with YOU????

and let us all know what you'll be doing for vacation.
It's summer in MY part of the world.
I hope to do some camping
or should I say...
Glamping in my trailer!!!

I also have TWO children making BIG moves this summer.
so...
I'll be helping out a little.
My son has his first REAL job after college
teaching in Arizona
AND..
My daughter will be moving to El Paso
with her husband who will be stationed there.
(He's an Occupational therapist in the army)

When adult children are experiencing change
in their lives...
MOM FEELS IT!

Thanks for stopping by this corner of blogland.
I'll choose two winners on Friday.
GOOD LUCK!!

+++++++++++++++++

P.S.
I was so surprised to see one of my little quilts
in the Quilt Alliance instagram feed last week!

And..
It was in a publication!
Fun. FUN!

  1. Thanks for your give away...hope I win! Your summer sounds wonderful! We will spend most of ours at home enjoying our down time by the pool and with family. The coast has been planned for at least 1 long weekend though!

  2. Beth, like your son I'm a teacher. This summer I visited Louisiana for the 1st time. I have been canning my garden goodies and presently working on a veterans quilt for my husband and I

  5. Congratulations on your recently published blocks and quilts! My husband and I will be taking several short vacations - 2-4 days - and have already done one. It was to Charleston, SC. Tomorrow we leave for 3 days to Put-In-Bay Island and Cleveland. We'll attend an Indians-Twins MLB game on Friday night and head home Saturday.

  6. Well congrats to both your children, sounds like they are starting to live the dream. How proud you must be of them. I'm sure after helping them settle into their new lives you're going to need that Glamping trip. I've no vacation plans for the year. Hubby has gone his yearly week long fishing trip, so I take this time to take care of me and a few things around that house that need to be done. Painting HIS den...it needs it so bad, 20 years since it's last makeover...YUK! Thanks for the give away fun!

  14. I love your red and white quilt in Quilt Alliance! I don't have vacation plans for the summer. My husband is still healing from a surgery, but maybe later in the summer we'll be able to do something. Thanks for offering the magazines. You're very generous.

  15. Those are big changes for your family, Beth. It's hard to see them move away like that, but it is all good.

Congratulations on your red and white publication. It is a great mini. Also...congratulations on your block. I like it better in the spring colors too, but it is a fabulous block.

Our summer plans include a bit of family fishing.

  17. We don't want to go anywhere! We went on a big cruise in April. I came home and then dashed across the country 22 hours later to see my sister before she died. She suddenly got ill during the last of the cruise. We stayed home a month and then went to see a son and his family. Came home for a day and went to see another son. As soon as we landed we started getting calls from the local teaching med school hospital informing us our youngest son was going to be in OR on an emergency basis. This case of his was so complicated! He is still in Surgical ICU. Brain injuries take so much time to heal. So, in a way, I'm a little scared to leave town again. People get seriously ill when I do which is silly thinking it has anything to do with me. But, I yearn to stay home and just possibly get bored sometime in the future! It sounds so lovely.

By the way, your block looks so very amazing!

  19. What a great giveaway...summer vacation what us that? We own our own business so it's not really ever an option. My husband says we live in Florida the vacation capital of the world we don't need to. But I make my own fun quilting on the weekend on my free time.

  20. Looks like I'll be making a lot of quilts this summer, in between taking care of my grandkids - the youngest ones start full time school in the fall, so I won't have as many "Nana days" then. I'm determined to enjoy them this summer!

  21. Not too much vacationing happening - but we have family coming home for a week, and a couple of other opportunities to see friends and relatives which we'll enjoy. I worked as an Occupational Therapist for 40 years - a great profession! best of luck to your son in law.

  24. I'm a teacher in PA who just finished the school year this week. Next week my family and I head to CA for a stay at the beach with my mom, six brothers and sisters, and their families. We do it every two years and it's a blast. The ladies will have a bit of quilting time, but it's mostly about family and beach. Thanks for the chance to win, and congratulations on your publication!
