Red Blue Pink

I finished this quilt recently and found out...

It was the PERFECT quilt to hang as we welcome a wee one
into our home for the next few weeks or months.

I did a lot of hand quilting on this with white, blue and pink thread.
I love this design so much...
I'm very tempted to pull out another color scheme and begin AGAIN!

My sewing room is a little bit busier than usual...
and that's JUST fine with me.

  2. This is stunning!!! We used to be foster parents too! We adopted three of our older kids. One is still at home. It's quite an adventure :) I wish you the best with the baby. They were hard but I loved every minute!

  13. This is really successful: I love your colour scheme and the texture that you get from the hand quilting. It looks very pretty hung on the wall too - just right for a little one.

  14. I like that! I like how the darker pieces continue the dark of the X and the lighter the sides. claire aka knitnkwilt.worpress.com

  21. First, congratulations on the wee one! Fostering really is the ultimate act of love for children. Your quilt, wow, is stunning! Your hand quilting is beautiful, and I love the design and colors. I immediately thought of the Gees Bend Quilts. I've been wanting to make something in that aesthetic for a while now. (As always, "Too many quilts, not enough time!")
