Just a little something to perk up my table this month.
A disappearing FOUR patch.
I DID want something red and white this month.
I didn't want hearts....who knows why....
sooo....
This little table runner suits me just fine.
Simple.
Sweet.
Happy.
I started with four 6" sqaures.
After sewing them together I made four cuts.
Two inches away from the middle seam.
Here it is.
This is the only tricky part.
The ONLY pieces that move are the the four middle blocks
around the outside.
I tried to draw a red line around them!!!
You're probably going to have a hard time seeing the lines.
(It helps to click on the picture.)
Ooooh! I wanted to figure out how to put arrows on there....
But....none of my big kids are home to help me!! ;/
Here's one Disappearing four patch.
I used three for my little table runner.
It measures about 10"x30"
You know what???
This was so easy I might make some little
valentine's table runner gifts!!!
That is awesome! Did you make up the pattern yourself? Never heard of that block but will have to try it, I love the D9P!
ReplyDeleteLisa: No, I didn't make the pattern up. If you google Disappearing four patch you'll get even more inspiration. ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great look! and so easy! I am definitely going to try this!
ReplyDeleteOoooh, Vanishing NINE patch is my 'go to' block, but I haven't been aware of a vanishing FOUR patch before (Think I've seen them, but not known how they were made) I'll be trying this one soon - thanks for sharing :-)

ReplyDeletevery beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteI can see the quilting lines, but can't tell if you put any batting on this? It's very cute. Since it's taking me forever to finish a bed sized project I'm looking to make some smaller ones just so I have a finish!
ReplyDeleteLove this idea!
ReplyDeleteThank you for this great tutorial! I had been wondering how this was done. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteNicely done! Thanks. I am trying to place the blocks on point.
