I've been weaving!!
Taking those leftover strips
and using some of that UGLY fabric
that "snuck in" to my stash!!
:)
I love these woven table runners
that "SPRING" from the trash bin in my sewing room!!
This table runner was made using
a rigid heddle loom
Warped with cotton crochet thread
and then woven with strips of fabric about 1 1/2" wide.
Weaving is therapeutic
AND
it USES UP all that stuff that FILLS my sewing TRASH BIN!!
win. win!!!!
What are YOU up to this week???
Beautiful table rummer.

Great way to use up those scraps. Love the table runner, it's really fun.
ReplyDeleteI had a rigid heddle loom for awhile, sold it to a friend who used it more than I did. Seeing the tablerunner you made out of uglies makes me sad I sold it lol.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing the size of the strips that you use, they always look terrific!
ReplyDeleteSo nice and cheery!! Renewed life for the 'uglies'!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous runner - great idea for the scraps and uglies!
