This week I added a new block pattern to my

Little Christmas quilt along.

I love red and green together...don't you?

I plan on sharing 8 different quilt blocks for this sampler.

7 sampler blocks and ONE block that alternates with them all.

This is not an exclusively CHRISTMAS quilt....

but red and green seem to fit in to the season.

On foundation paper.

Monday Making - busy week

It was a FUN and busy week 

In my SEWING ROOM!

First I made a quilt top using some leftovers

From a QUILT GUILD give away.

The 2 stars were in the bag with a bunch of funny looking quilt squares.

I enjoyed puzzling it all together.

🙂

I also needed a small little bag for my headphones.

These little zipper pouches using decorator fabric

Make me very happy!

 One for ME...

And TWO to give away!

I also received a magazine featuring two of my quilts!

Very FUN!

Monday making - finishing a baby quilt

I was able to get a baby quilt quilted this week!

I love ALL the scrappy goodness in this one!

Now...

to get the label made and SEND IT OFF!!

Monday making - a quilt along finish

This was the week to FINISH a quilt along quilt!!

It has a been a fun 10 weeks making this sampler type quilt

With all these pretty scraps!

I MAY actually make a few more blocks and GROW this quilt a little bit.

Pink stars quilt along block #10

Today is the very last block in our little quilt along!

It is called “variable star” and is just like the first block...

Except for the color choices.

🙂

You will need (from top left ...counter clockwise)

One (1) 3 1/2” square - medium pink

Four (4) 3 1/2” squares - background

One (1) 4 3/4” square - background

One (1) 4 3/4” square - medium pink

Two (2) 4 3/4” squares - dark pink

Take all four larger squares (4 3/4”)

Stack right side up.

Cut twice diagonally.

Each set of triangles makes ONE hourglass block.

Sew four hourglass blocks together.

Trim to 3 1/2” x 3 1/2”

Arrange them into this beautiful star block!

Make TWO.

If you’ve been following along you will have 20 star blocks.

We’ll be adding sashing next.
