Why are simple blocks so captivating?
I don't need fancy fabric.
I don't need intricate piecing.
Give me simple.
Give me plain.
And ADD a RED center to make it SING!
This block is 8" square.
Foundation pieced on fabric from an old cotton sheet.
;)
What are YOU making this week??
Simple is always nice. I do like to get fancy new fabric everyone in a while. But, honestly, my new fabric may have been out for several years. I enjoy buying some new fabric but I'm trying not to go wild!
ReplyDeleteSimple and scrappy, looks like you've got a start on a fun new project.
ReplyDeleteThe more I quilt, the more I love simple, log cabin blocks are so much fun. Happy stitching!
ReplyDeleteWell, that's teasing us! I'll be wondering if all the blocks will have the same size pieces or . . .
ReplyDeleteLog cabin blocks are always winners for me!
ReplyDeleteNow, that's an interesting log cabin block! I like the variations in strip width. Is that organic, just using whatever width strips you had on hand, or did you have the lines drawn on your foundation fabric ahead of time?
ReplyDeleteI enjoy both simple and complicated piecing, but wow! You make the simple look fun and happy. Yes, red centers...warmth and love represented there.
