Thursday thoughts

It's time to decorate for Christmas.
Good thing I have a quilt to hang up...
Decorations are going to be minimal this year because my house looks like this...
(there's a kitchen remodel going on)

and I'm not up to pulling out more STUFF to add to the confusion!!

This quilt came back from the publisher JUST in time to sling over a chair!

I was so happy to be included in the recent McCall's Quick Quilt

My knitting needles have been moving around with me.
Days have been busy!
The scrap quilter in me had to see if I could use a variety of yarns
to complete this little fall vest.
I'm happy I wondered!

  1. Both of these quilts are clever in their originality. I am cutting red and green triangles. What a fun project for the next few days. Thank you.

  2. Both of the quilts have the nice clean feeling of newly fallen snow, only the essentials visible. The new one looks right at home with the trees and house in the distance. Good going!

  3. Your quilts are just perfect for simpler decorating this year. I remember when you started the first one you showed. Lovely! Good luck with the remodel. You reach a point where you just want the workers out of your home. It will be worth the aggravation and mess though.

  4. what a darling vest. And I love the first quilt. How fun to pull out that quilt that's new, a perk of seasonal quilts

  5. They are both great. congrats on the quilt article.

  6. Both the quilt and the wall hanging are super cute.

  7. Don't blame you for not wanting to add to the dust and confusion of construction. It will be so worth it when you are done. Congrats on being on the magazine. Love your Christmas quilts

  8. Beautiful projects! Good luck with the remodel...

  9. Your Christmas quilt (the top photo) looks wonderfully retro!
    Congratulations on being published!

  10. I think the quilts add just enough Christmas cheer for that minimalist look! Gives you time to appreciate them all the more! Thank you for linking up to #scraptastictuesday!
