Every night...
when the work is done...
and the kids are tucked in...
I like to sit and read!!!
This book has caught me!
I may need to curl up during the daytime too!!!
This historical novel unveils the private lives
of the Lincolns from
their white house days
to the end of Mary Todd Lincoln's life.
It's told from the perspective of
the First lady's confidante and friend,
Her dressmaker Elizabeth Keckley.
What have YOU been reading???
I'm always looking for a good READ!
The News from Spain and nearing ending of Ruins of Lace.
ReplyDeleteAm really looking forward to this novel! Should be a wonderful read.
I am always looking for a great book, but find myself running out of steam mid book quite often unless it really intrigues me. My safest bet is books I have already read and authors I love.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your book - day and night!
I love her books, and have this one requested from the library! I can't wait to read it as I love historical fiction. I read a lot of Amish fiction too.
ReplyDeleteOhh I want to read this book. I've been thinking this year I'd like to read all the Elm Creek series again. Have fun reading!
ReplyDeleteI love to read every night as well and historical novels are definitely my favorite. Will have to check this one out.
ReplyDeleteI really like that author. I like to listen to audible books while I sew.
ReplyDeleteI also like to read just before bedtime. Right now I'm reading Atlas Shrugged. It's good but it's a long one, over 1100 pages.
ReplyDeleteI've been reading Game of Thrones and it's surprisingly good! I'm already on the second book in the series....
ReplyDeleteHa! That'll be on my list, soon. Right now I'm reading her other recent release, The Giving Quilt.
