I pulled out an unfinished quilt today.
This....
Is what I really SHOULD be doing.
I should get these quilt tops
sandwiched and quilted!!!
It was on my LIST to do this week!
But...
Today...I need the peace and calm
of LIGHT and DARK.
Pick up a light.
Pick up a dark.
Sew.
Repeat.
There is a serenity in quilting I love.
**I've added this post
work in progress wednesday.
I, too, am seeking some serenity through thread, fabric, and rotary cutting. Peace out.
ReplyDeleteI never realized how cool tumbler look set on point! Good luck on finishing those tops!
ReplyDeleteLove your tumblers. Sometimes you just have to put the list aside and work on a calming project. Hugs
ReplyDeleteSewing is good therapy and chain piecing is so relaxing... you go, girl!
ReplyDeleteVery nice little tumblers ; ) popping over from freshly pieced.
ReplyDeleteI do appreciate the calm and bliss that comes from sewing fabric together. I would not be called a patient person but when it comes to quilting I find resources I did not know I had.
ReplyDeleteI don't blame you for skipping the basting to piece instead. Your tumblers look great.
ReplyDeletePeace through piecing to you, my dear.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely. Some days it takes sewing machine work and little bits of fabric just to get through the day.:)
ReplyDeleteI sure get that......meditation at the sewing machine is how I like to think of it. I got some in yesterday and it felt terrific,
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna try and get to it tonight too.
Love the tumblers Beth, nicely done.
Happy Sewing
Interesting unfinished quilt! Sometimes they are best to remain dormant, but this one is beautiful! Can't wait to see the final picture!
ReplyDeleteThe tumbler quilt looks great. I know what you mean about the serenity of (semi) mindless piecing.
ReplyDeleteTheres times for piecing and times for quilting, looks like youre having a fun time piecing!! I love your colourful tumblers!
ReplyDeleteI love tumbler quilts. Great finish.
