I'm taking a little trip!
The bags are packed.
The dinners are prepared for the family!
(I get extra POINTS for that one!)
AND...
I finally figured out what to take along for the
L-O-N-G car trip.
I wasn't worried about supplies for the class...
I wasn't worried about forgetting my toothbrush...
NO.......
I've been WORRIED about a handwork project!!!
I've had SO many finishes lately,
(like my hawaiian pillow),
I thought I had RUN OUT of take-along projects!!!!
This is a little table runner I began a while ago.
I'm So happy I ran into it today...
JUST in the NICK of time!!!!
If this corner of blogland's a little quieter this week...
You'll know why!
I'll be taking a class from Hollis Chatelain
way up in Northern California
at the Empty Spools Seminar!!!
Woo Hoo! for learning more about QUILTING!!!!
I'm so thankful my husband is willing to
"hold down the fort" while I'm gone!
What a sweetie!
You have a good time, Beth. See you when you get back :D
ReplyDeleteOh, enjoy, enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteOh my, that's wonderful! I lve her work.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful time! Empty Spools is on my 'bucket list'.
ReplyDeleteLOL - that's so funny! It's exactly what I do too - forget clothes & travel gear, I worry about what my handwork project is going to be !! Looks like you picked a lovely one. Have a wonderful vacation!
ReplyDeleteSounds like loads of fun Beth! Enjoy yourself! I really like that little hand work runner you will be finishing up. Really cute and different. It gives me ideas~ Thanks! See you when you get back! ♥♥♥
ReplyDeleteCute project! I want to go to an empty spools retreat , can't wait to hear about it!
ReplyDeleteHave fun, Beth, wish I could join you at the seminar!
ReplyDeleteHand work for vacation is the most important thing to have. I plan my handwork and book before I pack anything eles. One trip I left the Handwork bag on the dining room table and didn't notice until we were getting bags out of the car at the airport. I stood there and cried. Not a pretty picture and no one understood my trauma.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful time. looking forward to seeing your accomplishments. Selina
have a a wonderful trip. i can not wait to read about it!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful time!!!
ReplyDeleteSWEEEEETI love it! how cute are those roses!
ReplyDeletehahah, I totally identify with the hand-work search panic mode! I recently took up knitting SOCKS so I could always have something at the ready. I will have another quilt to work on soon, but it needs some more piecing and I've got other sewing to do.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have lots of fun at your class and lots of fresh fun to share with us :)
I love to take handwork along on a trip and yours is pretty! How fun to get away for a workshop. I usually have to make dinners for my husband too--he doesn't! Cook. Have fun!
