Monday Making - cabin quilt

This is a country quilt. All those reds and greens and golds.

I’m calling it a cabin quilt...

and using flannel scraps makes it extra cozy!

This is the quilt BEFORE adding some borders

using the leftovers.

I had VERY little left and the quilt grew!

I just love this table runner.

The little pinwheels....

The pretty blues and greens....

The block was easy to make and it took

ONLY three to get a good sized table runner!

I also finished a blue quilt top.

Adding the BLUE alternate squares

made GROWING this one 

super FAST!!

Monday Making - baskets in the woods

It was a beautiful week in the mountains.

And...

I was able to bind my little basket quilt.

I always love having hand work when I’m camping!

My little quilt even has the sleeve attached...

With a dowel...

And is proudly hanging in my room. 

YEAH for a finish!!

Monday Making - growing a quilt

Quilts tend to grow.

After making a sisters choice block....

I thought about an alternate block.

After doing some puzzling...I came up with this simple block.

I call it PERFECT PLUS.

;)

It adds a little interest to the first block.

Quilts grow and grow.

Maybe sashing is next??

After making a few LONG and SKINNY

quilt blocks.....

I put them together into a quilt!

Adding a bit of red made this quilt really shine!

I am slowly using up a LARGE stack of

 6 1/2" squares handed down to me recently.

:)

I was also able to fill a bowl with MY KIND of happiness.

Monday Making

I was able to get a NEW quilt onto my daughter’s bed this week.

Yeah!

The quilt top has been folded up...waiting.....for quite a while now.

It needed just one more row to get it long enough.

The row was added and I even got it quilted!!!

I was so happy to get this finish in using LOTS of happy scraps!

Pink.blue.yellow.green.white.

Scrappy quilts are THE. BEST.
