This week I added a blossom tutorial to my youtube channel.

🙂

I goes along with the quilt block I shared last week.

I also DEALT with a large stack of fabric.

It came in a box along with a bad odor.

I quickly washed, dried and folded it all.

Do you say YES to free fabric???

I enjoy the adventure new fabric brings!

You never know what quilt or project will emerge!

Making this little table mat was so simple!

I used a left over block from THIS QUILT 👇

Yep.

All I needed to do was to add a row of half square triangles!

I love that I was able to use a scrappy assortment of reds and greens.

I also made a simple doily pillow this week.

Monday making - scraps and christmas

 I added scraps to 1 yard of cute fabric this week.

So simple.

So sweet.

It's all flannel and only TWO layers.

Not quite a quilt...but warm and cozy all the same.

 I also made a few Christmas coasters.

These will be great for stockings and quick gifts for friends.

Add some coffee or cocoa.....or???

This week I worked with a lot of half square triangles!

I love this table mat.

It took me a while to see the OOPSIE on the upper left side.

LOL!

Not super noticeable UNTIL you notice it!

I also made a LOT of these blocks.

This pretty block is now a favorite!

Monday making - some finishing up

This week I was able to get my Christmas quilt top complete!

Next....

Quality time at the machine with a Quilt Sandwich!

I also did some machine quilting on this charity quilt.

Does your quilt guild have small quilts to finish?

They are a great opportunity to practice free motion quilting!

Monday making - the last block

This week I added the very last block to my

Christmas quilt along sampler!

I love this block.

(I am making a scrappy quilt using this idea I will share in the future)

I also quilted my pink stars quilt!

Very happy to have it done and ON MY DAUGHTER’s BED!

Monday Making - quilt blocks and leftovers

Here is the SIXTH quilt block for my

Christmas quilt along sampler.

I made the flying geese in a way gave me some leftovers....

LOTS of little half square triangles.

I had fun thinking of MANY possibilities!

Monday making - using it ALL UP

This week I worked on using up some things in the sewing room.

I DO have quilting cotton.

BUT....

I also have old denim pants and a bag of selvages I began saving a while back.

The two went hand in hand for a little POTHOLDER sewing!

Two squares of denim and some of those selvages to perk them up.

It was fun and something that I had to try.

If I make enough I’ll have one for everyone at Christmas!

Yeah!

I also added another block to my Christmas quilt along.

Monday making- baby quilt

I ran into an old quilt of mine yesterday.

I made it for my first granddaughter 10 years ago!

Today I added a short HOW TO on my 

Youtube channel.

The blocks are small drunkards path blocks

That I made using HOMEMADE templates.

monday making - simple sewing

Sometimes you need to make something EASY!

Some leftover denim in my sewing room

Was staring at me...

And I decided to listen.

The denim became a potholder in NO TIME!!

The Denim would have been a bit boring without this CUTE fabric!

Monday Making - uneven 9 patch

This week I added my alternate block to my Christmas quilt.

It is a simple uneven 9 patch.

I really like the green plaid from my computer design.

Too bad I don’t have that pretty green plaid in my stash!

LOL!

I have so much fabric......

It’s tempting to go looking for the fabric in my dreams at the store....

And not use the fabric in my stash!!!

monday making - Christmas sampler block 2

This week I added a new block pattern to my

Little Christmas quilt along.

I love red and green together...don't you?

I plan on sharing 8 different quilt blocks for this sampler.

7 sampler blocks and ONE block that alternates with them all.

This is not an exclusively CHRISTMAS quilt....

but red and green seem to fit in to the season.
