Monday Making

I worked a bit on this UFO this past week

and HOPE to add some more blocks THIS week.

The pattern came from block lotto a while ago.

I added an alternate color way using white cornerstones.

I love ALL that color!

It's been fun digging around here for more fabric choices.

Monday Making

This quilt was NOT made by me.

It was pieced together and then donated to my local quilt guild.

It seems there are quite a few quilters who DON'T like to quilt.

:)

My goal is to quilt ONE of these pretty charity quilts

EACH month.

I don't usually post about these quilts...but I probably should!

My local guild packs them up with backing fabric

AND the binding.

They are ALL ready to GO!!

I enjoy quilting these lovely quilts.

There is NO STRESS involved!

They are the perfect place to practice machine quilting!

Friday Finish

This is Graduation quilt #3!

All quilted and bound.

I'm calling these quilted lines....

BUMPS on a LOG.

I made the bumps AD LIB.

Ad lib means there was NO marking involved.

:)

One LESS step.

I have just ONE MORE QUILT to finish

before graduation!!!

Monday Making

This is the quilt that I've been cuddling with this weekend.

Being under the weather is NO fun...

but it SURE it nice to have an abundance of quilts.

I made this one a long time ago.

I used a thin wool batting and HAND quilted it!

It's the perfect quilt.

Not too heavy and bulky.

Not sure what I'll be working on this week yet...

Friday Finishes

 I was able to finish TWO quilts this week!

It DID help that they were BOTH sandwiched and

READY TO GO!

These are the first two of FOUR that need to be completed soon.

Four high school graduates will receive a little QUILT LOVE this year.

Graduations get earlier and earlier, don't they??

Believe it or not....

I still have SCRAPS in the basket!!

Even blue ones!!

LOL!

Monday Making

I just returned from a great trip to Switzerland.

:)

Right before leaving, I finally settled on WHAT

to take for HAND WORK.

The. most. important. item. to. pack!

I took along a few of these vintage dresden plates.

I have a whole stack!

After quickly machine basting twice through...

I had JUST what I needed to work on!

I am appliqueing around the outside of petals

and then I will add a center piece.

I also took wool yarn and knitting needles 

for my husband's new beanie.

I finished just in time

for a little alpine horn blowing!
