Red and White

Don't you love the classic
RED and WHITE combination??

I do too!!

I was able to use some vintage red and white prints in this.
Oooh! I LOVE them!

Crazy...
but I find it hard to CUT into these precious older fabrics!

 Table mat #2 down.
10 more to go!!!!

12 is the GOAL!
Goals get me going!...
Even if I don't always make it.

  1. That is lovely! I have some vintage feedsacks I've been unable to cut into feeling my skills are not yet worthy. They'll be double vintage by the time I use them -- lol.

    1. I'm making them for an auction at an upcoming retreat. They will grace the tables as we eat.

  9. I guess I have missed something. Did you tell how you made the wonky 4 patch, and then how you cut and re-arranged the parts? I tried to figure it out on my own, and my head is about to explode! I'd love to make it, but need some direction. Thanks!

  10. Love the red and white. Have you seen the book about the red and white quilts displayed in NYC in 2011? Infinite Variety by Elizabeth Warren and Maggi Gordon. I just checked it out from my local library. Stunning book to match your sweet mats for the table.

  12. It is hard to cut into a favorite fabric, I can relate to that dilemma.
