love

I fell in love this week.
Isn't this the sweetest collection of fabric?
It looks like it has been around a LONG time, doesn't it?

I love ALL the little bits of fabric and little blue ties.
Someone, a long time ago, hand pieced all those
little, itty bitty pieces together for something that she
would use in the kitchen everyday.
The back.
Simple.

Are you in love too??

  5. I can just imagine the quilter deciding that she didn't want to throw out all those itty bitty pieces of beloved fabrics and this idea suddenly popping into her head to make for her kitchen. Then the smile that adorned her face every time she pulled it out to use it, all proud of herself for not wasting these little lovlies...........well, it could have happened that way, don't you think?
