Monday Making

Now isn't that bird flannel fabric the sweetest??
It's been in my stash and I finally used it.
Yeah!!!
I made this little flannel blanket for my friend.
Her baby is due ANY day!
I'm prepared.
Gasp!
Two sides of flannel with some little ribbon tags
and a nice orange quilting/running stitch ALL AROUND to give it
that homemade "I love you" kind of touch!
;)

(how-to video on the blanket is here if you're interested)

The two books (two of my favorites)
are for big brother!!
You can't go wrong with those little golden books!

If you haven't read 'Home for a Bunny'
you've missed out.
It has a special place in my heart.
It's not about adoption...
but I see that theme in it.
My adopted daughter wanted me to read it
OVER and over again when she was little.
At my house....
we ALL know this one BY HEART!

"In the spring a bunny came down the road.
He was going to find a home of his own.
A home for a bunny.
A home of his own.
Under a rock.
Under a log.
Under a stone.
Where would a bunny find a home?"

It's almost Monday at my house.

What are YOU making this week??

  1. Love that bird fabric, and have used it as a backing on a baby quilt. Saving the scrap for something special!!!

  2. Adorable fabric for the blanket. I have made your flannel blankets and I love how easy they are to make. Thanks for sharing the tutorial. I will check out the bunny book because I think my granddaughter would love it.

  3. Cute blanket. Those little ribbon tags must be so intriguing to a baby. I was a school librarian and have so many favorite books. Little bunny must find a great new home.
