How to Rip

Ripping out.
It happens.
It's not pretty.

This is my quick method.

1. Choose your tool.
Mine is a small.sharp. pair of scissors.
;)

2. Go along the seam and cut the thread every 1/2" or so.

3. Grasp near the seam tightly!

4. Pull apart in ONE FAST Firm motion!!!!

Voila!
Rip is complete!!!

5. Move on to happier things...

  1. I use small embroidery scissors also, but will try your method. Love your tropical lifesavers quilt.

  3. I haven't tried that method yet but I certainly rip a lot of stitches. I'm going to try that next time!

  4. I do the same thing except I snip one side and pull the thread on the opposite side. Works the same. Hugs

  5. Yes, this way works great! My husband actually came up with the idea, when I was muttering with the seam ripper. So nice to have a helper! :) I try to avoid ripping at all costs, but inevitably it does happen.
