friday.

This picture doesn't look much different than the last post's picture.
But it is.
The difference??
DONE.
done. done.
It's quilted.
It's bound.
Ready for some use!!
Why, oh why did I wait sooo long?
This quilt began with a bunch of leaves from a pattern.
I made a few and then tried to figure out what to do with them.
I hate following patterns.
I will begin with a pattern.....sometimes...but then...
I want to do my own thing!
I think it's a rebellious streak in my nature.
And Hey!
Who does it hurt? :)

I ended up appliqueing this tree in the middle
with the leaves
floating around everything.
I'm adding this to Amy's sew and tell.
What a great way to end the week!
I'm going to go see what everyone's been up to.

  1. You don't follow patterns because of your creativity, Beth! Look at the great tree that grew in this creativity process. Who wants to make a quilt exactly like someone else's? This is a good finish, enjoy the quilt hug!

  14. Beautiful! Just beautiful... and that looks like hand quilting, yes? I am totally impressed. I love it. (I am the same way with patterns. But sometimes I wish my mind had a print button so what I see up there would transfer to what I am doing a little easier.)
