Simple Saturday

Here is my patio table. It's so nice to eat outside in the summertime! I made this table cloth last year and didn't buy a thing to make it! I had the nice striped fabric in the cupboard and the flowers were from my stash. When I made this I was in a hurry (as usual) and didn't even use fabric adhesive for the flowers....maybe I didn't have any and was too lazy to go to the store. It was free and easy to make.
I just cut the flowers out, put my feed dogs down and ta da! I'm not telling you that there are some puckers in there....but it didn't matter too much to me. I even left the edges "RAW". This table cloth has seen MANY meals and is getting very faded. I needed a new one...so-0-0...

Last week I found this queen size sheet at the thirft store. YEAH! I love the fabric and it's nice and wide.
I bought it.
I brought it home.
I washed it real good.

Today I trimmed it up and hemmed it. I even have left over fabric for my chair!
Super Simple! You can do it too!
The hardest part will be finding a sheet you LIKE!

  1. What a great idea!!! "Tablecloths" are so expensive - I have loads of vintage sheets from goodwill - I'll have to dig through my stash.

  2. Your tablecloth idea is great! I have a few sheet sets where the bottom sheet has gotten a hole in it, and I wasn't sure what to do with the leftover top one. There's an idea!
